We are very proud to announce the launch of the KOL Forum! Key Opinion Leader Forum 1: PAD – takes place on June 26th 2023 You will be able to pose your questions to our panel: KOLs Koen DeLoose (Belgium) and Lorenzo Patrone (Italy) and your host Kak Khee Yeung, the Academy PAD Pathway Lead. KOL Forum 1: PAD ticket – Members only event Objective: Do you have a challenging case? Are you unsure how to treat PAD issues? Do you want a different perspective? Are you a member? Then you are welcome join our new KOL Forum to hear how a KOL would treat your case! This is a new educational initiative for those with moderate to advanced vascular surgery knowledge. It allows participants to ask and get a response to burning questions on moderate to difficult cases by either submitting them for possible selection in the Forum, or via the KOL Forum case library. You can also just join and learn! The sessions are designed to: Provide more advanced training to experienced surgeons Provide a rare opportunity to interact with THE experts in a field Receive advice on personal cases Be informal spaces Be exclusive for members ________________________________________________________________________________ The very first, PAD KOL Forum 2023, will host Koen DeLoose and Lorenzo Patrone. Koen DeLoose: Dr. Koen Deloose is the head of vascular surgery at AZSint Blasius Hospital Dendermonde in Belgium and has authored and co-authored more than 100 articles in peer-reviewed medical journals, more than 10 chapters in orthopaedic, vascular and endovascular books and many posters and papers in conference proceedings. He is one of the most experienced vascular surgeons in treating complex endovascular PAD and is a member of the International Editorial Board, Endovascular Section, of the Journal of Cardiovascular Surgery & the Journal of Vascular and Endovascular Therapy. Dr Deloose is also a founding co-course Director and board member of the organising Committee of Paris Vascular Insights (Paris, France). He gives workshops and presentations all over the world to share his expertise. Now is the chance to discuss complex cases with him in the KOL forum! Lorenzo Patrone: Dr Patrone is a Vascular and Interventional Radiology Consultant in London North West (Healthcare NHS Trust). Since January 2016 he has worked in a newly created and innovative department where vascular surgery and interventional radiology have been merged under the name of West London Vascular and Interventional Centre. His main focus is lower limb recanalisation and diabetic foot management. Moved by a true passion in teaching and sharing, he has published and presented widely on his innovative mini-invasive techniques, being involved in collaborative research, trials and endovascular training. He is Assistant Editor of the Journal of Endovascular Therapy and Course Director of the FYA symposium. Having dealt with almost all complex PAD cases, his practical tips and tricks expertise is not to be missed! ______________________________________________________________________________ Registration and Cancellation policy: This is a free event for members only and pre-registration is required. You do not have to submit a case to be able to register.If you want a chance to have your case selected, please send in a case you want to hear more about, including your questions (e.g. by PPT or video), by 12th June, to ciara@esvs.org. The panel will then review and select two of the most interesting and appropriate cases for the session and show you how it could be done! There will be time at the end for questions from the audience about these and other PAD cases. For cases that weren’t selected, these will be submitted to our new KOL Forum case library Q&A area, where the KOLs will log in and comment on your cases, after the session. You will have the opportunity to comment on their comments as well. Where registration numbers are too low to run the course, this will be announced on the website no later than 48 hours before the course starts. Please be aware that the online session will be recorded and may be used by the ESVS on our website, social media and in the e-library. CME: CME accreditation is not being sought for this course.
